Position Duties
Abrakam is looking for a highly talented and passionate Game Developer to help us work on Stellaris (Paradox). The ideal candidate needs to have a solid C++ experience and be capable to effectively translate Game Design ideas and concepts into functional and engaging user-experiences. They must also be able to produce clean, understandable code and be comfortable in communicating with colleagues and presenting their ideas.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and break down complex Game Design specifications to assist the Production team establishing tasks and schedules
- Collaborate with members of the team to build sustainable, performant, and maintainable technologies and code
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer with strong understanding of common programming paradigms such as object-oriented programming
- Team player capable to work closely with Engineers but also Designers and Artists to understand and meet their needs
- Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools (Git)Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Ability to constantly learn and stay in touch with evolving game standards and development technologies
- Willing to work at our offices in Liège’s Science Park (Belgium)
- Good written and oral English
