In addition to our client projects, we are actively developing a software tool designed as a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, a tool for Dynamic Story Design.

The Role
We’re looking for a Tool Developer Intern to join our team and help build the backend of this tool. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing application logic in the backend, building databases, and bringing this innovative tool to life. If you’re eager to dive into full-stack development and contribute to an exciting SaaS platform, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement backend logic using Firebase for the Rhizome application.
• Build and maintain logic/databases to support complex story and game logic.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX team
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Test and debug the front- and back-end to ensure a reliable user experience.
• Share your unique insights and ideas in team discussions.

Must-Haves

• Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue, React, or Angular.
• Solid understanding of TypeScript.
• Familiarity with backend development and database management.
• Experience or interest in working with Firebase for backend logic and databases.
• Problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• A passion for creating innovative, user-centred applications.
• Proficiency in English and/or Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Firebase or a willingness to learn.
• Understanding of SaaS architecture and cloud-based applications.
• Previous experience in full-stack development.
• A passion for storytelling and game development.
