DAE Studios is an applied game studio that harnesses the power of game technology to help our clients innovate, educate, and create immersive experiences. We believe in solving real-world problems with creativity, collaboration, and technology.
In addition to our client projects, we are actively developing a software tool designed as a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, a tool for Dynamic Story Design.
The Role
We’re looking for a UI Designer Intern to collaborate with our team and the UX designer to translate user flows into beautiful, intuitive interfaces. You’ll also help implement your designs directly into the tool. No matter your background or experience, if you’re passionate about design, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Reflect, research, and design UI solutions for our digital products, both current and future.
- Collaborate closely with the UX designer to shape seamless user journeys.
- Translate wireframes into beautiful, functional layouts that users love.
- Implement your layouts in the tool.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Communicate ideas effectively and contribute your unique perspective to the team.
Must-Haves
- Strong visual design skills and a love for creating inclusive, accessible experiences.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with user testing and gathering feedback.
- Coding skills focused on frontend development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Comfort working both independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in English and/or Dutch.
Nice to Haves
- Familiarity with Vue, React, Angular, or TypeScript.
- UX design experience or a keen interest in learning.
- Writing skills or an interest in storytelling.
- Brand design experience.
