Engine Producer

As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for an Engine Producer to join the team and help us in crafting the high caliber games our fans have come to expect.

Responsibilities

  • Ultimately, ensure delivery and output of the engine team
  • Help translate new pipelines, workflows, features, ideas and requests into requirements and action plans
  • Communicate and align with other departments
  • Help analyse existing solutions and propose improvements
  • As a reality check, play the game and use pipelines to assess priorities, progress and quality
  • Help set up and update high level roadmap and planning of the engine department and technical feature groups
  • Identify and set up useful reports for the tech team
  • Prioritise, reprioritise, handle requests
  • Help manage (technical) feature groups and ensure delivery according to specs
  • Help organise and follow up on engine development and technical feature development
  • Track work and progress and react accordingly
  • Unblock, solve or escalate issues, remove distractions

Requirements

  • Experience in game development and game production
  • Experience managing global and local teams
  • Good English communication, writing and reporting skills
  • Speaks the language of game engine developers and the game developers that work with that engine
  • Voice of reason and the reality check in the room
  • Problem solving skills, going into finishing mode, identifying correct priorities
  • A technical background, a high level understanding of an engine’s building blocks
  • Working with computers is second nature

Nice to Haves

  • Some programming experience
  • Experience shipping to computer platforms and consoles
  • Experience with console devkits and third party back-end software
