N-Zone, a company with a diverse and talented team of artists and digital specialists, is actively searching for a “LIGHTING / ENVIRONMENT ARTIST”.

As a “Lighting / Environment Artist” at N-Zone, you will join a dedicated team working on the development of high-quality real-time 3D video games.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Creating and optimizing in-game lighting
  • Producing 3D game assets (primarily environments) following the desired artistic direction (concepts, references)
  • Integrating these assets into the Unreal Engine 5 and ensuring quality within the rendering environment
  • Considering technical, time, and budget constraints to deliver optimal graphic quality

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Creative and proactive with a willingness to challenge themselves
  • Organized, meticulous, and autonomous, able to structure their production while respecting project nomenclature
  • Multifaceted, capable of juggling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to communicate and present their work effectively within the 3D art team
  • Demanding of themselves and highly attentive to render quality, finding the balance between artistic aspects and technical constraints
  • Capable of bringing a creative touch to 2D concepts. Passionate about environmental storytelling and pushing its boundaries in line with the art direction

You possess:

  • Mastery of the Adobe suite
  • Excellent knowledge of 3D creation tools such as Blender, Painter, Designer…
  • At least 5 years of experience with Unreal Engine and have shipped one or more games
  • Proficiency in modularity and its application, paying attention to UV optimization and texel density
  • Ideally, experience in optimization for the Switch platform
  • Comfort with shader creation and good knowledge of Blueprint
