You will work on our latest game under the supervision of the studio’s Chief Design Officer, in a friendly and stimulating environment.
Missions
- Participate in researching varied gameplay situations based on our game’s features, while respecting the project’s narrative coherence;
- Stage these situations in block-in/block-out levels, while respecting the project’s narrative coherence;
- Contribute to the skills system and the menu that allows players to personalize their gaming experience;
- Generate ideas, test, and regulate varied and fun gameplay arcs to offer an engaging experience;
- Take ownership of the overall project, give feedback, suggest creative ideas to reinforce its quality, and document it.
Expected skills
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts and general game design methodologies;
- Knowledge of fundamental level design principles;
- Structure and design gameplay situations that offer progressive and engaging
challenges; - Clearly and cohesively document a project’s GDD;
- Design level prototypes on Unreal Engine 5.2 and 5.4;
- Test game mechanics, identify problems or potential improvements, and be capable of adjusting them to improve the gaming experience;
- Suggest creative solutions to complex gameplay or design problems, while respecting the project’s technical and budgetary constraints;
- Work as a team and communicate effectively and respectfully.

- A documented paper level plan inspired by the shooting mechanics of the game CrossCode (Radical Fish Game, 2015). This level plan, which fits on one page, must stage several “puzzle”-oriented gameplay situations around the “shoot” mechanic (no combat). It will be documented so that we can clearly understand what the players do, the critical path, the obstacles, and the means to progress.
