Bruno Urbain

As the Studio Manager and founder at Fishing Cactus, I bring over 20 years of experience in the videogame industry, with a diverse background in game design, project management, and production. Currently, I lead a talented team of 36, where I focus on people management, financial oversight, and operational strategy to drive FIshing Cactus’ success. Guided by the motto “Smart Games with Soul,” I ensure that talent remains at the center of our creative decisions.
My expertise spans console, handheld, PC, and mobile games across a variety of business models (P2P, F2P). Since founding Fishing Cactus, I have overseen the delivery of over 60 projects, with budgets ranging from €100K to €2M.
Deeply committed to production, I work closely with my teams, cultivating a shared vision and collaborative culture. I prioritize building human-sized, highly autonomous teams focused on creating high-quality games.
In my free time, I enjoy writing about game design and management on my personal website, with articles featured on major platforms like GameDev, GameCareerGuide, and Gamasutra. Additionally, I am the founder and president of WALGA, the Wallonia Games Association, representing over 200 professionals in the sector.
