🌍 Remedy Entertainment Plc has re-acquired all rights to the Control IP from 505 Games for €17M.
🌍 Steam has launched a new calendar dashboard where you can view all upcoming events and scheduled sales & releases (of your own games). This is a very useful tool to plan the events to participate in, such as the 8 upcoming thematic events: Tower Defense, Fighting Games, Rhythm, Space Exploration, Planes + Trains + Automobiles, Turn-based RPG, Steam Scream and Cooking Festivals. Additionally, launch discounts can now be set to 14 days.

🌍 Toys For Bob (Spyro Reignited, Crash N. Sane Trilogy, Crash 4) – are going independent, separating from Activision Blizzard and working on own new IP.
🌍 Layoff news: Electronic Arts (EA) : around 670 people let go (5% of workforce). Deck Nine Games is laying off 20% of the studio.
🌍 Rockstar Games demands that all remote workers return to office fulltime. (which will result in many developers quitting their job)
🌍 EA bumped the whole Steam New & Trending tab in one fell swoop by re-releasing a bulk of 15 games in a day, pushing several indies off the list.
🌍 Just a week after getting sued by Nintendo, Switch emulator Yuzu settled the lawsuit and will pay out $2.4M in damages.
