  • 🌍 The PlayStation VR2 PC adapter will launch on August 7, letting players expand their game library with thousands of SteamVR titles.
  • 🌍 Avalanche Studios Group has announced the closure of its Montreal and New York studios.
  • 🌍 Take-Two Interactive is looking to offload indie-focused publishing label Private Division.
  • 🌍 Yakuza is the next game to receive a live series adaptation, with Like a Dragon: Yakuza coming to Amazon Prime in October.
  • 🌍 Signups are open for Courage Cologne until 16 June. A showcase event for indies on the eve before gamescom. https://courage.events/event/courage-cologne-2024/
  • 🌍 The Nintendo Switch has become the best-selling console in Japan’s history, with 32.9 million units sold. The previous record was held by the Nintendo DS with 32.86 million systems.
  • 🌍 It’s the year of indie success, with Half-Life-inspired survival game Abiotic Factor selling 300,000 copies so far (and Playstack also published the even more popular Balatro before it). Manor Lords, which released end of April, sold over 2M copies. Content Warning, which released for Free on April 1st got 8M downloads and has now sold 2.2M units.
