Diversity Meetup x Jugendforum NRW @ Gamescom

Vielfalt braucht Raum und genau diesen schaffen wir gemeinsam auf der gamescom 2026.

Nach den letzten Diversity Meetups auf der CAGGTUS, der Games Ground oder auch dem Indie Game Fest, freuen wir uns sehr, euch nun in Köln wiederzusehen: Am Samstag, den 29. August, von 12:30 bis 14:30 Uhr beim Stand des Jugendforum NRW in Halle 10.1.

In entspannter Atmosphäre möchten wir Content Creators und Business Professionals miteinander vernetzen, Räume für gegenseitige Unterstützung schaffen und den offenen Dialog stärken. Das Diversity Meetup bietet euch die Möglichkeit, ohne Druck neue Kontakte zu knüpfen, Geschichten auszutauschen und gemeinsam ein Zeichen für eine vielfältigere Gamesbranche zu setzen. Und das während ihr euch ein Tattoo verpasst. Bitte?

Vor Ort erwarten euch kleine Highlights, die das Beisammensein noch schöner machen:

• Eine kleine Stärkung steht bereit
• Sucht euch Einmal-Tattoos aus, wie in der Kindheit
• Hinterlasst eine wholesome Nachricht auf unserem Community Board. Was es wohl bereits dort zu entdecken gibt?

Wir laden euch außerdem herzlich ein, direkt am Stand ausgewählte Indie-Games selbst zu testen und mit den Entwickler*innen dahinter ins Gespräch zu kommen.

Da die Plätze für das kostenlose Meetup begrenzt sind, bitten wir euch um eine Voranmeldung über die Warteliste.

WICHTIG: Bitte nutzt eure Creator- oder Business Mail, da das Diversity Meetup ausschließlich für Content Creators und Personen, die in der Kreativbranche tätig sind, gedacht ist. Um einen Safer Space zu wahren, bestätigen wir Anmeldungen individuell. Für das Event benötigst du ein Gamescom-Ticket. Diese sind nicht im Erhalt eines Diversity Meetup-Tickets enthalten, sondern müssen separat erworben werden.

PS: Wenn du mehr über den Alltag von Creators wissen möchtest, darüber, wie Reichweitenverantwortung funktioniert, wie Safe Spaces online entstehen können und was es bedeutet, sich gegen Hass im Netz zu positionieren, dann schau gern im Vorfeld beim Content Affairs Panel am Stand des Jugendforums vorbei am Samstag von 11:00 bis 12:00 Uhr. Dort sprechen Creator*innen offen über ihre Erfahrungen, laden euch ein, Fragen zu stellen und Teil der Diskussion zu werden.

Diversity needs space, and that’s exactly what we’re creating together at gamescom 2026.

Following our recent Diversity Meetups at CAGGTUS, Games Ground, and the Indie Game Fest, we’re thrilled to see you again in Cologne: on Saturday, August 29, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Jugendforum NRW booth in Hall 10.1.

In a relaxed atmosphere, we want to connect content creators and business professionals, create spaces for mutual support, and foster open dialogue. The Diversity Meetup offers you the chance to make new connections without any pressure, share stories, and join forces to advocate for a more diverse games industry—all while getting a temporary tattoo. Seriously?

A few little highlights await you on-site to make the get-together even more enjoyable:

• Light refreshments will be available
• Pick out some temporary tattoos, just like when you were a kid
• Leave a wholesome message on our community board. I wonder what’s already there to discover?

We also warmly invite you to try out selected indie games right at the booth and chat with the developers behind them.

Since space for this free meetup is limited, we ask that you pre-register via the waitlist.

IMPORTANT: Please use your Creator or Business email address, as the Diversity Meetup is intended exclusively for content creators and people working in the creative industry. To maintain a safe space, we will confirm registrations on an individual basis. You’ll need a Gamescom ticket to attend the event. These are not included with a Diversity Meetup ticket and must be purchased separately.

P.S.: If you’d like to learn more about the day-to-day lives of creators, how reach responsibility works, how safe spaces can be created online, and what it means to take a stand against online hate, feel free to stop by the Content Affairs Panel at the Youth Forum booth on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There, creators will speak openly about their experiences, invite you to ask questions, and join the discussion.
