The annual tradition continues – the Nordic Breakfast at Gamescom is ON!
Join us on Thursday, 27 August, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am at FRÜH Lounges in Cologne for a morning gathering bringing together Nordic and Estonian game developers, industry organisations, investors, publishers and other key stakeholders from the international games industry.
The Nordic Breakfast offers an excellent opportunity to connect with industry peers, exchange insights and explore new collaboration opportunities while enjoying an informal breakfast and relaxed networking in the heart of Cologne.
This year’s event is organised by Invest Estonia, with the support of the Estonian Ministry of Culture and CDG Booster. The networking breakfast is held in collaboration with Neogames Finland, the Swedish Games Industry.
A good selection of breakfast items, coffee, tea and refreshments will be served.
As space is limited and a full house is expected, we encourage you to RSVP early to secure your spot!
| Breakfast & Morning Networking — Start the morning over breakfast and connect with fellow game developers, studios, publishers and industry professionals from across the region.
| Welcome & Opening Remarks — Jevgeni is an Estonian game developer and entrepreneur, CEO and co-founder of Tall Troll Games and an active contributor to the development of Estonia’s games industry. His background combines game development, entrepreneurship and industry ecosystem building.
| Game Pitches + Q&A — Four studios from Estonia, Sweden and Finland present the games and projects they are currently building.
Format: 5-minute pitch + 5-minute Q&A per company.
| Panel Discussion "AI in Game Development – Good, Bad, Ugly or Useless?" — AI has quickly become one of the most discussed technologies in game development – but where does it actually create value?
The panel will move beyond the hype and look at AI from the perspective of people building, operating and investing in game companies. Where is AI already useful in real production pipelines? Is it more valuable for producers than programmers? What can it genuinely improve, where does it create new risks, and which parts of game development may change the most?
| Breakfast Networking Continues — Continue the conversation over breakfast, meet the speakers and connect with fellow Nordic and Baltic games industry professionals.
