As part of an ongoing production, we are currently looking for a versatile tech profile (with experience) specializing in Game Design/Level Design, whose primary role will be implementing motion-based mini-games. Position to be filled as soon as possible.

Your missions will include:

– Design and implementation of mini-game mechanics at a prototype level in Unreal;
– Design and implementation of gameplay level design in the engine/editor;
– Collaboration within a small team composed of programmers, artists, and animators to successfully complete the mini-game from A to Z;
– Testing & balancing of gameplay experience on Switch 1/2 with the target audience in mind (children/family);
– Communication with other game designers and stakeholders to achieve desired objectives;
– Responsibility for the final quality of the mini-game.

Requirements:

– Background in Game Design or Level Design;
– Practical knowledge of Unreal (blueprint, 3D editor) for prototyping, level design, implementation, integration, and balancing tasks;
– Good understanding of the 3Cs (Camera, Character, Controls);
– Experience in level design/prototyping of a shipped 3D game (cameras, design, prop placement, controllers, embellishment) is a plus;
– Affinity or experience with party games or mini-game focused games is highly advantageous;
– Good command of spoken and written English;
– Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively;
– Ability to guide teams towards a “final product” vision;
– Strong autonomy, initiative, and leadership skills within small teams.

This contract is initially offered on an 8-month fixed-term basis for the duration of the project. Depending on results and versatility, it may lead to a permanent contract (CDI).

The position is based in Mons, Belgium, and is available as soon as possible. Financial assistance for relocation is available if needed. A technical test of 1 day will be required along with 2 interviews, including a minimum of 1 in-person interview at our offices.

While partial remote work is now part of our working method, onsite presence 3 times a week will be required.
