Aegic Entertainment
Aegic Entertainment is looking for a skilled and motivated generalist Unreal Engine developer. This is a full-time, 100% remote position. Candidates in Belgium or willing to relocate to Belgium in the long term are preferred. If hired, you will be working on We Who Are About To Die.
As a generalist developer, you are technically minded and capable of many sides of gameplay development within Unreal Engine. You are very comfortable in UE's Blueprints. You typically lean more towards tasks such as prototyping, gameplay blueprint development, material creation, particle systems and animation systems, but your secondary skillsets may be varied and dynamic, ranging from game design to audio work to 3D art or others.
You identify as a jack-of-all-trades, enjoying learning new skills and generally just "making games". Most likely you have some relevant interests and skillsets outside direct game development as well, such as writing, video editing or marketing.
Salary scale: Audiovisual sector PC 227. To apply, email [email protected] with [GENERALIST DEV APPLICATION] in the subject, your resume (PDF or web link), links to past work and a genuine cover letter.
Desired: experience with UE's animation system, prototyping and other "creative programming" style tasks; an active player and fan of (indie) games; fond of bug-hunting and bug-fixing; a solid foundation in game design principles.

Aegic Entertainment came about after a 7 year long solo development endeavour actually somehow worked out. Okay, it wasn't just an alignment of cosmic bodies. I made a game, self published it, and it spread around. No marketing budget - just word-of-mouth, grassroots style success. That's pretty neat.
The point is: Aegic is built on a strong and unique story and an awesome cohort of supportive players who showed up, believed in it and made it something bigger. Now? We're here to make more games - driven by creativity & passion, for the people who made this journey possible.
