About the Role
At Boop Games, you'll be responsible for developing complete, polished games for Poki.com. Our games are fast-paced, casual browser games for kids that have the potential to reach millions of players worldwide.
You'll work across the entire development process, including programming, game design, 2D/3D art, audio, VFX, UI, and polishing. We make extensive use of AI tools to accelerate development, so it's more important to have a broad understanding of all aspects of game development than to specialize in a single discipline. We're looking for someone who learns quickly, embraces new tools, takes ownership, and enjoys turning ideas into high-quality games.

Develop complete, polished games for Poki.com from concept to release.
Program gameplay systems and implement new features in Unity.
Create and integrate game assets, including art, UI, audio, VFX, and animations using AI-assisted workflows where appropriate.
Design and iterate on gameplay based on playtesting and feedback.
Optimize games for performance across desktop and mobile browsers.
Identify and fix bugs to ensure a smooth player experience.
Take ownership of projects and manage tasks independently.
Stay up to date with AI tools and new development techniques to improve speed and quality.
Collaborate with the team to brainstorm, prototype, and ship games that can reach millions of players.

Passion for game development and creating fun, polished player experiences.
Good general knowledge of game development, including programming, game design, art, and audio.
Experience with Unity and C#.
Willingness to use AI tools as part of the development process.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and workflows.
Able to work independently and take ownership of complete game projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a small team.
A portfolio or personal game projects that demonstrate your skills.
Experience with 2D/3D art, animation, VFX, or sound design is a plus, but not required.
