Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Cloud Platform

About the Role
Cyrex works with some of the world's most demanding technology companies, from global entertainment platforms to regulated financial and healthcare infrastructure. We're now bringing that experience into a new AI-powered product, and we're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own the platform around it: both the product our customers interact with and the cloud infrastructure it runs on.
Roughly half of your work will be on the product itself — a Go backend and React frontend used directly by customers, with the challenges that come with running a multi-tenant platform: accounts, authentication and access, permissions, and maintaining a clear record of what happened and when. The other half is the AWS infrastructure underneath it, where you'll own infrastructure as code and help solve the operational challenges of running long-lived and asynchronous workloads reliably in production.
This is an early role in a broader phase of growth for Cyrex — you'll help decide how this part of the company should be built as the product, team and customer base grow.
Location: Hybrid, Athens — Greece.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating production systems on AWS, not just deploying to them
- Infrastructure as code as the default way infrastructure gets created and changed
- Practical understanding of asynchronous and distributed systems: queues, retries, idempotency, recovering long-running jobs from partial failures
- Comfortable owning systems end to end, from a React component through to the IAM policy supporting it
