As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur's Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Graphics Programmer to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and extend our proprietary engine on its VFX-related parts (particle simulation, materials, post-process effects, rendering/lighting pipeline)
- Work closely with the Art/VFX department to implement top-notch visual effects and extend our library of VFX components
- Debug and optimize code to hit quality and performance targets
- Document code features
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of C++
- Strong technical background (bachelor's degree or comparable experience)
- Good spoken/written English
- Experience with modern graphics APIs like DirectX 12, Vulkan, Metal
- Experience with a wide range of CPU and GPU profiling tools
- Experience with particle system algorithms, including GPU particle implementations
- Excellent knowledge of shading languages and experience writing complex GPU algorithms
- Multithreading should be second nature
- Excellent software design, problem-solving and debugging skills
- This is a full-time, on-site role in the Ghent office
Nice to have
- C# experience
- Previously shipped game/console titles is a strong plus

About Larian Studios
Larian operates all over the world but the first ever Larian studio was opened in Ghent during the glorious year of 1996 by our founding father Swen Vincke. Our Ghent studio remains Larian's spiritual epicentrum to this day.
Situated just minutes away from Gravensteen Castle – which you might recognize as home to the weaponized sausages of Panel From Hell – and a leap away from the historic city center of Ghent our office is a unique place to work, live and play. We have the pleasure to have settled in a wonderful historical building, which was built in the 1860's as a residential home to the owner of the textile baron Jules de Hemptinne. To honor the spirit of the building we still make cloth here today but rather the digital kind to feature in the games we make.
Being the eldest of our studio's means there are many teams and disciplines who have a foot here in Ghent.
