- 2019Invite Only VR: A Vaping Prevention GameInvite Only VR is a learning game that teaches adolescents about the dangers and health risks of vaping e-cigarettes. In the game, the player takes on the role of Mike as he attempts to get an invitation to an exclusive party. To attend this "invite only" party, Mike makes use of 4 unique powers to navigate social situations and different types of peer pressure, including the pressure to vape. Mike's powers include the power to observe the environment, the power to apply newly-gained knowledge about vaping in conversations with others, and the power to refuse peers in an effective way. Whenever Mike correctly uses his powers, he unlocks extra lives to play the Space Cats minigame. Space Cats is a wave-based shooter minigame that is all the rage at Mike's school, and it provides players fun breaks from the lessons about e-cigarettes and nicotine. Invite Only VR uses voice recognition software throughout the game to allow the player to practice refusing peers in real time.
